This week we announced the Travel Couple Book Club. If you follow the link, you will get a lot of information regarding why we are starting the book club, how it relates to the Travel Couple Podcast, and the list of books and schedule that we will be following.
In this post, we will talk a little bit more about the book club, but also outline what we would like to accomplish with this club. It all relates to what we want to accomplish in this space of travel couples.
Travel Couple Book Club: Reading Travel, Relationships, and Business Books
If you do not already listen to the Travel Couple Podcast, you need to. Whether you are a travel couple, a couple that wants to incorporate more travel into your life, or single and want the same, there is so much value in every interview we do on the podcast.
On the podcast, we interview couples who are striving to make travel a lifestyle from getting paid to travel the world to working a 9 to 5 and making time for travel. They all have a couple of things in common. They are couples who love to travel and they have an online presence or business that they have built to highlight their travel experiences.
In each interview, we talk three different themes:
- Travel
- Relationships
- Business
Enter this new book club we are launching. By starting a book club, we are both quenching our own thirst for wanting to enter the world of book reading (I am not currently a big book reader, but more of a podcast listener) and by complimenting our three themes of our podcast.
We hope to improve our knowledge of travel. More specifically, what others are trying to get from their travels. The books we have chosen for this theme include books that explore why we travel and what we want to get out of our travels.
The books involving the theme of relationships include books that will help to strengthen your relationship with your significant other. Make no mistake, travel can put a strain on your relationship. Things will go wrong. All of the couples we have interviewed so far say this. They also say that if you can travel with your loved one, you are compatible together. These books hope to solidify your relationships.
The business books have the widest range within the list. From being productive, to being a better communicator and leader, to improving your reach online and building a following. These books strive to help you in your professional lives and building an audience online to help your travel blog, social media following, and so much more.
When you visit our book schedule, you will notice some pretty popular books. Old ones and new ones together. This book club is not for those who are experienced in the book reading world. This club is to challenge those who do not read to get out there and join a community that does want to read and discuss their findings.
With that being said, the club is for ANYONE! Even if you have already read the book, being able to join the discussion and community will be extremely valuable.
